Cyndi Brighton, her assistant/husband Ron Midgett, 2 dogs and 2 cats drove west to Santa Fe five years ago from New England where Cyndi owned a dance center and taught dance to children and adults for many years. A few months after settling here, Ron opened New Earth Orchids, leasing and selling orchids to the community and beyond. Meanwhile, Cyndi started volunteering as a dog walker at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. It wasn't long before the Midgett family adopted 2 more dogs. Sadly, they lost their orange tabby Lucy to cancer. In December of 2015 they also lost their 16 year old calico cat to renal failure.
It was always in the back of Cyndi's mind that she wanted to pet sit. She loves animals and has always had pets - many pets! Finally, instead of just fantasizing about it, she opened a subsidiary of New Earth Orchids calling it New Earth Pet Care. She became certified as a pet sitter through Santa Fe Community College and began to realize her dream! Because of his own love of animals, Ron assists her as the need arises.
Cyndi knows through her own experiences that hiring a pet sitter you can depend upon and knowing your pets and house are safe with, is a very important step for any pet parent. Cyndi is a responsible care giver willing to go the extra mile so that you don't have to worry about your pets while you are at work or out of town.
